Frankreich startet umfassende Forschungsinitiative zur Behandlung von Corona
Die französische Forschungsstiftung Pasteur hat zur Erforschung des Corona-Virus eine Allianz aus mehreren wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen gebildet. Der wissenschaftliche Rat ReacTing hat mit Unterstützung des französischen Ministeriums für Gesundheit 20 wissenschaftliche Initiativen ausgewählt, die sich im Zusammenschluss um eine besserer Behandlung des Corona-Virus` und gezieltere Prävention bemühen wollen. Geplant sind die Weiterentwicklung vorhandener Arzneimittel für andere virologische Erkrankungen, eine klinische Studie und die Erstellung eines epidemiologischen Modells zum besseren Verständnis der Ausbreitung.
Schon seit dem Auftreten erster Infektionsfälle arbeitet das ReactING-Netzwerk am Aufbau einer Qualitätsforschung, um die Sars-CoV2-Corona-Epidemie auf schnellstem Weg einzudämmen und infizierte Patienten schneller zu behandeln. Für den Zusammenschluss hat der leitende Forschungsrat hierzu alle Institutionen zu einem wissenschaftlichen Pitch aufgerufen. Daraus wurden 20 Projekte für 20 verschieden Disziplinen für die Zusammenarbeit auserwählt.
Maßstab waren dabei die Gesamtheit des erfolgreich angewandten wissenschaftlichen Outputs und erfolgsversprechende Beiträge zur Bekämpfung der Epidemie. Die Projekte werden in vier große Bereich aufgeteilt:
Forschungsprojekte mit diagnostischen, klinischen und therapeutischen Zielen.
Forschungsprojekte in der Epidemiologie. Grundlagenforschungsprojekte.
Forschungsprojekte in den Human- und Sozialwissenschaften.
Forschungsprojekte mit diagnostischen, klinischen und therapeutischen Zielen.
Die Forschungen zur Therapie konzentrieren sich innerhalb der Projekte an der weiteren Entwicklung von bereits auf dem Markt befindlichen und bei anderen virologischen Krankheiten angewendeten Arzneimitteln wie auch auf die Neutralisierung monoklonaler Antikörper. Zusätzlich wird eine durch die Forschungseinrichtung Inserm geförderte klinische Studie durchgeführt werden, bei der vier therapeutische Kombinationen, darunter mit dem Ebola-Medikament Remdesevir, dem Eiweißkörper Interferon und der zur HIV-Behandlung eingesetzte Arzneistoff Lopinavir verglichen und bewertet werden sollen.
An der klinischen Studie werden 3200 Personen Testpersonen teilnehmen, davon 800 in Frankreich. Nach evolutionärem Auswahlverfahren sollen unwirksame Moleküle zum Abbruch der jeweiligen Studie führen.
