Neue Maßnahmen, neues Image – VW orientiert sich neu
Volkswagen hat die neuen technischen Gegenmaßnahmen in Übereinstimmung mit dem KBA (Kraftfahrt -Bundesamt) im Fall der manipulierten Dieselmotoren und den CO2-Werten auf seiner offiziellen Website veröffentlicht. So sollen die 1,2- und 2,0-Liter-Aggregate einem Software-Update unterzogen werden, ebenso die 1,6-Liter-Aggregate. Zusätzlich soll ein sogenannter Strömungsgleichrichter befestigt werden. Volkswagen gibt an, die Maßnahmen ohne Beeinträchtigung etwaiger technischer Leistungen durchführen zu wollen. Das Unternehmen wird den offiziellen Startschuss der technischen Maßnahmen bekannt geben, sobald das KBA spezifische Adressen zur Verfügung gestellt hat. Im Laufe des Jahres 2016 sollen bis zum dritten Quartal in mehreren Wellen alle betroffenen Fahrzeuge zur Umsetzung der technischen Lösung nach und nach gerufen werden. Während der Durchführung der Maßnahmen sollen Mobilitätseinschränkungen im Bedarfsfall durch Ersatzfahrzeuge vermieden werden. Bis zum 31.12.2017 sieht Volkswagen von einer Verjährungsseinrede in Bezug auf die Softwarefehler der Fahrzeuge mit dem Motorentyp EA 198 ab. Ansonsten versichert Volkswagen die Fahrtüchtigkeit aller Fahrzeuge. Im Zuge der erheblichen Reputationsschäden durch den Abgas-Skandal scheint auch der günstige Zeitpunkt für einen Imagewechsel gekommen zu sein. Aus einer Meldung des Manager Magazins geht hervor, dass Volkswagen sein Werbeclaim „Das Auto“ in unabsehbarer Zeit abschaffen möchte. So fehlt am Ende des neuen Werbespots in dem nationale Starkicker sich in flotten Sprüchen zum „Allstar Trainingscenter“ äußern, der Schriftzug „Das Auto“, das bislang unter das VW-Logo eingeblendet wurde. Diese beabsichtigte Zäsur wurde bereits vom Branchenmagazin „Horizont“ offiziell bestätigt. VW- Markenchef Herbert Diess beabsichtigt wohl eine neue Positionierung der Marke VW. Zwar gab Diess zu diesem Vorhaben keine konkreten Anhaltspunkte an, jedoch ließen seine angedeuteten Pläne zur Neuorientierung grobe Vermutungen zu. Bei einer Management-Konferenz in Dresden sprach Diess vom eigenen, neuen Profil der Marke und in einem Interview der Miterarbeiterzeitung „Inside“ sprach er davon dass „es nicht nur um „Das Auto“, gehe sondern darum, was der Kunde mit Volkswagen erlebt“. VW müsse sich selbst neu konfigurieren.
