Der Online-Versandhändler Amazon macht gerade mit einer aktuellen und politisch brisanten Werbung auf sich aufmerksam. „Eine Antwort auf anti-muslimische Rhetorik“, so Amazon in begleitendem Text dazu und CNN kommentiert: „Amazons`letzte kommerzielle Ziele“ Die Werbung zeigt menschliche Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen einem Imam und einem christlichen Pfarrer, um der vor allem antimuslimischen Haltung Einhalt zu gebieten. Das Video beginnt mit einer Szene, in dem ein Imam seinen offensichtlich christlichen Freund, einen Pfarrer besucht. Der empfängt ihn herzlich. Beide unterhalten sich bei einer Tasse Tee. An den Gesten erkennt der Zuschauer, dass beide an Knieschmerzen leiden, da sie auch beide zum Beten in die Knie gehen. Ohne etwas zueinander zu sagen bestellen beide nach der Verabschiedung jeweils ein Knieschoner-Set per Amazon füreinander. In den Kommentaren zeigten sich die meisten Menschen sehr gerührt. Mit dieser Werbung hat Amazon offensichtlich einen Treffer gelandet, an dessen Inhalt jeder zerren kann. Ein Kommentar etwa lautet: „Ich bin ein Atheist. Aber diese Werbung ist einfach die beste, die ich je gesehen habe. Meine Frau weinte, als sie es sah. Wir fragten uns beide: Warum kann unsere Welt nicht so sein? Es ist möglich“.
