Wir brauchen mehr Banalität
Im Eifer des scheinbar wissenschaftlichen und politischen Verantwortungsgefühls und des mediengetriebenen Pflichtbewusstseins geriet in den vergangenen Monaten alles aus den Fugen, aus der Bahn oder eben aus der Ordnung. Wir glaubten die Wissenschaft als unerschütterliche Tragsäule des menschlichen Verdienstes. Ein Kunstwerk des Szientismus, eine zum Pragmatismus mutierte, sicher geglaubte Maschinerie der Nachvollziehbarkeit, eine unerschütterliches Mirakel des unermüdlichen Probierens und Scheiterns – der Empirie, eine strikte Ordnung in Maß und Methode. Und wir glaubten, Wissenschaft und Politik würden sich der humanistischen Verantwortung wegen nicht in die Quere kommen. Und sie taten es doch. So heftig, dass das RKI in einer Endlosschleife zum Gelächter der sozialen Medien wurde. Drosten ist jetzt mehr forsch als Forscher – zumindest heißt es so im Netz unter aufbegehrenden Zweiflern. Ich zweifle nicht an Corona. Aber ich zweifle am Nimbus der politisch-wissenschaftlichen Kooperation. Ich zweifle an den schier nicht umsetzbaren Maßnahmen, insbesondere im öffentlichen Leben und ich zweifle an der scheinbaren Untrüglichkeit der immer aufs Neue in den Medien beschworenen Todes- und Infektionszahlen. Zu undifferenziert, zu sehr journalistischer Natur. Missbraucht durch medienökonomische Interessen, verkauft als perverses Clickbait-Mittel. Da sehne ich mich nach Banalität. Nach den einfachen Fragen des Lebens. Denn auch diese sind durch rhetorische Kriege, durch Wortklauberei, wissenschaftliche Maßlosigkeit und unnötige Kunst gegangen, bevor wir uns von ihnen abwendeten, bevor sie zur Spielerei der kindlichen Sprache wurden. Warum ist die Banane krumm? Niemand würde diese Frage noch stellen, um sich als gebildet zu verkaufen. Es ist eine Frage die in Übermütigkeit und Übermüdung gestellt wird. Nicht der Antwort wegen. Ein Moment der Langweile. Ein Moment der Banalität. Deshalb möchte ich hier nicht beantworten, warum die Banane krumm ist. Ich möchte nur, dass das Corona-Virus eines Tages ähnlich der Bananenfrage tief im Mikrokosmos der unbedeutenden Fragen versinkt.
