Der Glaube an die Zukunftsfähigkeit der nahezu unerschöpflichen Möglichkeiten anhand digitaler Technologien hat sich zu einem Dogma verfestigt noch ehe wir über das Wenn und Aber immanenter kultureller Folgen nachdenken konnten. Das Kompendium der Massenmedien lässt nichts anderes außer den unmittelbaren Wettbewerb zwischen dem menschlichen Gehirn und den sogenannten neuronalen Netzwerken verstehen. Diese Netzwerke sollen Computern Erkennungs- und Wiedergabefähigkeiten in allen Formen verleihen. Lernende Systeme und der sinnvolle Einsatz wachsender Datenmassen sind die umkämpften Geschäftsfelder großer Internet- und Technologiekonzerne. Dabei saugen die Systeme, gleich der schwarzen Löcher, alles in sich hinein was je durch menschliche Sinne verarbeitet worden ist, um durch die Technik der ausgefeilten Algorithmen den Menschen in dienlicher Form bereitzustehen. Dieser unaufhaltsame Wettbewerb prescht unachtsam an der polemisch geführten Diskussion zu Volksverdummung und Instantbildung vorbei. Man kann sich ausführlich darüber streiten, ob die derzeit noch eher primitiven Einsatzmöglichkeiten solch eingespeister Systeme derart verfeinert werden können, wie sie den ambitionierten Unternehmen vorschweben. Manch einer sieht das menschliche Gehirn bereits in einem Konkurrenzverhältnis mit Watson und Co. Das Deep Learning soll alle Bereiche des Lebens revolutionieren und vereinfachen. Facebook, Google, Microsoft und IBM entwickeln und investieren in rasantem Tempo. Der Wahnsinn der künstlichen Intelligenz drängt sich in jene Bereiche, in der die bislang unangefochtene Kunstfertigkeit des Menschen herrschte. Komplexe Algorithmen sollen Sprache, Informationsverarbeitung und logische Verknüpfungen an vorangegangene Gespräche und Befehle verfeinern. Der Vergleich mit dem menschlichen Gehirn oder gar die Besserstellung solcher Systeme, wird in der breiten Öffentlichkeit dennoch ohne weiteres Hinzufügen von durchaus berechtigten Ansichten zu solch einer analysierenden Synopse vorgenommen. Denn der Vergleich mit dem menschlichen Gehirn setzt an den falschen Fähigkeiten an. Die auszeichnende Fähigkeit des menschlichen Gehirns liegt nicht etwa in der Verarbeitung unübersichtlicher Datenmassen, oder gar der konkreten Berechnung komplizierter Systeme und Gleichungen. Diese sind verglichen mit der Leistungsfähigkeit des menschlichen Gehirns eher Peanuts. Die bislang unübertreffliche Fähigkeit liegt in der eigenständigen und einer individuellen Fantasie folgenden Schöpfungskraft, die nicht selten mit dem Philosophieren über die eigene und die Existenz des empfundenen und gesehenen Umfelds einhergeht. Somit bleibt das Ergebnis aller menschlichen Werke ein unvergleichbares Produkt und Kunstwerk, welches über das surrende und ungestüme Werk aus Informationen und berechneter Ordnung womöglich noch lange triumphieren wird.
