Bundeswehr erteilt Auftrag in Höhe von 476 Millionen Euro

Die Artec Gmbh – ein Joint Venture von Rheinmetall und KMW hat durch die internationale Beschaffungsagentur Occar, die im Auftrag des Bundesamtes für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnologie und Nutzung der Bundeswehr vermittelt, ein Rüstungsauftrag in Höhe von 476 Mio. Euro erhalten. Das berichtet der Rüstungskonzern Rheinmetall auf seiner offiziellen Website. Es handelt sich dabei um die Lieferung von 131 GTK Boxer in der Variante „Gruppentransportfahrzeug (GTFz), dessen Auslieferung für den Zeitraum 2017 bis 2020 vorgesehen ist. Rheinmetall ist weltweit führender Anbieter in den technisch ausgereiften Gefechtsfahrzeugen die durch ihre Verbundpanzerung Schutz vor Mienen, Sprengfallen und Beschuss bieten. Durch den MTU-Turbodieselaggregat mit 530 kW (720 PS), ist das Fahrzeug trotz seines enormen Gewichts von 36,5 Tonnen in der Lage eine Geschwindigkeit von 103 km/h zu erreichen. Bereits in Afghanistan konnten sich die Fahrzeuge auf schwerstem Gelände bewähren. Ausgerüstet ist das modulare Konzept aus Fahr – und Missionsmodul mit einer fernbedienbaren ” Leichten Waffenstation FLW 200″ mit 40mm-Granatmaschinenwaffe oder schwerem 12,7mm-Maschinengewehr. Zuletzt hatte Artec im Jahr 2006 einen Auftrag für 272 Boxer durch die Bundeswehr ausgeführt. Das letzte Fahrzeug dieses Auftrags wird im März 2016 an die Truppe übergeben.
